Pixels and PPI to print size.
Enter one image dimension in pixels and a sampling value to calculate the corresponding physical size.
10.00 in · 25.40 cm · 254.0 mm
Typical close-view print target
Formula
inches = pixels ÷ PPI
millimetres = inches × 25.4
This calculator handles one dimension. Repeat the calculation for image height, or use the main printer to preserve the aspect ratio automatically.
How to interpret the result.
The physical size is not embedded into your source image by this calculator. It describes the relationship you would get if the selected pixel dimension were distributed at the entered PPI.
A lower PPI makes the same pixels cover a larger area. A higher PPI makes them cover a smaller area with more source samples per inch. Read DPI vs PPI for the full explanation.
